IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE

Student cover is offered subject to the following terms and conditions.

We will not cover any liability arising out of or in connection with any treatment carried out by You where You are not qualified in the treatment being undertaken except:
under the direct supervision of a Qualified Person or
for students case study work,
or for other work prior to qualification being obtained, if deemed ready or competent to do so by your school or tutor

Providing that;

You do not practice outside the scope of what you have been taught and that regular supervision, ongoing case consultation and review for case studies is in place;
You are to declare to any person prior to offering treatment that you are not qualified;
You may charge a fee if appropriate, provided this is allowed by the tutor or school in question and that it is a modest amount and evidently lower than an experienced and qualified professional would normally charge.

Once qualified, you can upgrade straight away to one of our self-employed policies and benefit from the full cover available. You can continue to study under the new policy as all our self-employed policies offer case study cover as standard.

For example, you would purchase our student policy while you study for an NVQ 2 beauty course then once qualified our self-employed individual beauty policy will provide you with full cover for your NVQ 2 treatments (subject to them appearing on our list of treatments covered) and continue to cover your student and case study cover while you work towards your NVQ 3 qualification.
